I am considering investing with Davenport Laroche and they have very persistent following up on the phone. They have even provided contact details for current investors who I spoke to. I believe they are genuine people and they are certainly happy with their investment. But a few things still concern me:

The CEO is named as Jacques Piccard, which is also coincidentally the name of a Swiss oceanographer and engineer, known for having developed underwater submarines for studying ocean currents, who died in 2008. Too much of a coincidence?

A google search of him brings up only one article which seems to be on a self publishing website

Their website is entirely devoted to investment, with nothing about the operation of the company

If the return on Container investments was so great, why would Davenport Laroche not simply borrow from the bank at 5, 6 or 7% to buy the containers themselves and make a killing by leasing them out at 12-24%?

Davenport Laroche are dirty scammers, they won't refund your money until you take drastic action against them. I lost a $120k investing in their scheme, and I had to get the help of a financial fraud investigation firm in order to get some of my money back.

If you want an advice on how I went about my case you can mail me: rudolfmm @ tutamail. com I will be glad to share this information because I know the police and securities commissions would help nobody, act now and seek refund.

competitor? Thatโ€™s a funny one.

Your only โ€œcompetitorโ€ is the previous fake container lease company you set up less thoroughly than this one.

I have to hand it to you for an elaborate scam, which must have taken a great deal of time an energy to execute. Perhaps you skills would be more usefully applied in an actual business.

This article says that "Jacques Piccard" is the founder of Davenport Laroche. https://ideamensch.com/jacques-piccard/ Can any part of this article be independently verified?

Here is an image of "Piccard" http://tinyurl.com/y7wm5nuk, it is taken from a stock photo.

The image is reversed so missed off the Google image search tool. Is Piccard real?

Further, all the published articles about Davenport Laroche are of the pay-to-publish "advertorial" type. Whoever is behind this is certainly thorough. But as they say, if it sounds too good to be true it, probably is.
